Sunday School

Our children's Sunday school experience begins at the 9:30 AM worship service where children and parents worship together. A special children's sermon is given, after which the children are led out with songs of praise as they go their Sunday school classes, featuring dramatic Bible stories, music & arts and crafts.  Classes in all age groups resolve around a central biblical theme for the day.

Confirmation

Confirmation begins on October 23rd at 6PM. Classes are open to all seventh graders and above.

What about Confirmation? Confirmation is a period of time set aside for young people to seriously study the Christian faith. Following this period of study our students re-affirm their relationship with Jesus Christ. For many young people this is a time when the faith they've heard about becomes alive in a new and fresh way!

Confirmation is a 2-year program for 7th graders and older.

For our Faith Journey this year we are combining two selected programs. One created by Faith InKubators and a new one by Augsburg Fortress called Here We Stand . These combined programs will help kids decide how their faith can help them with the everyday stuff of life that teens go through. Our mission is to bless the child, gift the family and call parent to the promise.

Classes are the second and fourth Tuesday of every month from 6PM to 8PM. This year we will be focusing on the Old and New Testament.   We hope to encourage our youth to Know Jesus Christ, to Grow in Jesus Christ, and to Share in Jesus Christ. Our Faith Journey will be relevant, practical, exciting and fun. It will encompass worship time, sharing a meal, and learning together.

Adults Play an Important Role! There are many important roles to be filled to make this journey successful. God has given us each gifts to share. We each have something special to share with our youth such as teachers, organizers, listeners, doers, etc. This is an opportunity we, as adults, can be role models to share the love of God. There is a place for everyone to share and give as much time as you have available.

Questions and Concerns about our program should program should be addressed to Pastor Mike or Jo Ann Dietrich.

The Program

Dinner at 6:00 PM

We ask that two families sign up each week to provide a simple meal. You will be responsible for planning, preparing and serving the meal.  This is a great way to get a small group involved, too! Everyone is asked to clean up the area after the meal.

Some simple meal ideas - Mac & cheese, Lasagna, Pizza, soup and sandwiches, tacos, chili, spaghetti, chicken and rice. Many grocery stores sell frozen and fresh prepared meals in large portions.  These work as well, heat and serve.

If you have questions on portions, please call Jo Ann
